I am a relational analytical psychotherapist with over 30 years’ experience of working with adults of all ages from a wide diversity of class and cultural backgrounds, genders and sexualities.
You might feel that there isn’t any language for the suffering you have undergone or for your pain in the present and/or there is no-one with whom you can “be yourself”. Our reflecting together on your memories, dreams, thoughts, feelings, and fantasies can enable you to break the circularity of feeling stuck and to discover your own unique capacities for living more creatively with more resilience. You may wish to bring personal writing, exploratory drawings, paintings, photographs, or digital images, as ways to expand on your experiences, conscious and unconscious.
I am attentive to the effects on individuals of the wider socio-political/historical context, conscious and unconscious, past and present. My relational perspective is enhanced by my studies in art therapy and contemporary philosophy (in each of which I have an M.A.).
Sessions are available face-to-face, on the phone, and on Zoom, weekly, bi-weekly, short and long-term. if you would like more information we can arrange an initial twenty minute phone session (free of charge) prior to the possibility of a 50 minute initial consultation to explore the possibilities of our working together.
