Mental Health Awareness Week 2025: Community
During Mental Health Awareness Week, we reflected on this year’s theme, the role of community, which has been a cornerstone of our work since AGIP’s founding in the 1970s.
AGIP was born out of a desire to make psychoanalytic psychotherapy more accessible, inclusive, and attuned to the realities of social context. Our roots lie in the belief that healing does not happen in isolation.
Meaningful change often emerges through relationships, within the consulting room and far beyond it. In a time of rising loneliness and disconnection, the therapeutic space can offer a vital bridge back to community, connection, and self-understanding.
This week, we reaffirm our dedication to fostering thoughtful, emotionally alive communities within our sector, our training, our membership, and with those we serve.
