AGIP is a registered charity (Number 1083030). It was established in 1974 to provide psychoanalytic psychotherapy services and a training programme. The authority of the Association is vested in its elected Council and the work of the Association is carried forward by the Council and its sub-committees responsible for Training, Clinical matters, Professional matters and Continuing Professional Development. AGIP has a code of ethics and good practice to which all our members subscribe. The organisation is a member of the United Kingdom Council for Psychotherapy (UKCP).
