Ethics

AGIP psychotherapists work within rigorous code of ethics and professional practice, in line with the codes of ethics and professional practice of the UKCP. There is also a formal complaints procedure to be used if a patient or other interested party feels that a therapist has not been working within those ethical codes.

Recently the UKCP has made changes to its codes of conduct. In addition, member organisations such as AGIP have agreed to the centralisation of complaints procedures to within the UKCP for all AGIP therapists who are also members of the UKCP. In light of these changes, AGIP is updating its codes of ethics and its complaints procedure and aims to have these finished by January 2015. In the meantime, if you would like more information please see our existing Code of Ethics.
